Maximizing Smart Home Automation with Govee and Lutron

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of a fully automated home, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with Govee and Lutron. :star2:

Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with creating a seamless automation setup for my master bathroom and toilet. Using Govee lights and Lutron Caseta switches alongside Zooz multi-sensors, I’ve managed to create a system that truly enhances my daily routine.

Here’s a quick rundown of how it works: When I step into the bathroom, the motion sensor kicks in, gently turning on the lights. The real magic happens when I head to the toilet. The system waits for a moment to ensure I’m settled, then dims the lights slightly for a more relaxed experience. And here’s the kicker—when I leave the toilet area, the lights automatically shut off, saving energy without requiring any manual intervention. :seedling:

While setting this up was a bit of a puzzle at first, the Hubitat Rule Machine proved to be an invaluable tool. I stumbled a few times, but each mistake taught me something new. The sense of accomplishment when everything clicked into place was incredible! :tada:

If you’re looking to dip your toes into automation, I highly recommend starting small and gradually building up. The learning curve is worth it for the convenience and comfort it brings. Plus, having a supportive community like this one makes the journey so much smoother.

To anyone still on the fence—give it a try! You might just discover a whole new level of home comfort. :house_with_garden::sparkles:
