Migrating Devices and Enhancing Smart Lighting Setup

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. First off, I recently upgraded my Homey system from an Early 2016 model to the newer Homey Bridge. I’m curious if there’s a way to migrate my existing devices and settings over without starting from scratch. Any tips or shortcuts would be greatly appreciated!

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with light bars for gaming and have been really impressed with how vibrant they can be. However, I’m still figuring out the best way to integrate them without them being too distracting. If anyone has some recommendations or settings they swear by, I’d love to hear them!

Another thing I’ve been tinkering with is setting up RGB LED lights using Tasmota. I’ve got them running smoothly on the Paper UI, but there’s been some quirky behavior in the sitemap. Specifically, the color picker sometimes doesn’t send the right values, and the brightness slider jumps to the middle after changes. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’m hoping there’s a tweak or workaround someone might know about.

Lastly, I’ve been exploring OpenHAB and have successfully integrated a few devices, but I’m stuck on getting a Grid Connect smart switch to work. I’ve configured it through their app and it’s on my network, but I can’t seem to get it to communicate with OpenHAB. Any advice on bindings or manual configurations would be a lifesaver!

Overall, it’s been a fascinating journey, and I’m excited to continue learning and improving my setup. Thanks in advance for any insights or help you can offer! :rocket:
