Hello everyone,\n\nI’m currently in the process of migrating from my trusty CCU2 to a shiny new CCU3. I’ve got a pretty extensive setup with around 50 programs and 100 devices, so I want to make sure this transition goes smoothly without losing any of my hard work.\n\nI’ve heard that backing up the CCU2 and restoring it on the CCU3 is a common approach, but I’m not entirely sure about the best way to go about it. Should I back up and restore everything, and then clean up the programs and variables on the CCU3? Also, I’ve read that handling umlauts in the CCU can sometimes be tricky. Is this still an issue with the CCU3, or has it been improved?\n\nI’m also considering whether to keep my devices in variables and only query those variables. Would this be a more efficient approach, or is there a better way to structure my setup?\n\nIf anyone has experience with this migration or tips on organizing the CCU3, I’d be really grateful for your insights. I’m excited to take advantage of the new features CCU3 offers, but I want to make sure I don’t overlook anything important during the transition.\n\nThank you all in advance for your help and advice!\n\nBest regards,\n[Your Name]
