Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my journey of migrating from Domoticz to Home Assistant after using it for several years. While Domoticz has been reliable, I’m thrilled to return to Home Assistant, which has evolved significantly since my initial experience in 2016.
I’m currently using ZWave+ as my primary protocol and have a Raspberry Pi 4 running Domoticz with an Aeotec Z-Stick Gen 5. For testing purposes, I’ve set up Home Assistant on a backup Raspberry Pi 3. My main concern is whether there’s a seamless way to migrate my ZWave settings from Domoticz to Home Assistant or if I can run both systems concurrently to facilitate the transition.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has gone through a similar migration. Are there any tools, scripts, or best practices you’d recommend? Additionally, I’m curious about how others have handled the integration of ZWave devices between these two platforms. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
