Hello everyone, I’ve been using FHEM with the HM-CFG-LAN module for several years now, and I’m quite satisfied with it. However, I’m looking to transition to MQTT and Node-RED in the near future, and I’d like to bring my Homematic components, such as thermostats, sensors, and switches, along with me. I’m hoping to avoid relearning all my devices, which would be a time-consuming process. Additionally, I’m interested in testing some Homematic-IP products, which means I might need a CCU3 or a suitable alternative.
I’ve found some useful information online, but I’m still unclear on the exact steps to migrate from HM-CFG-LAN to CCU3. Once everything is migrated, I’m also curious if I can continue using the HM-CFG-LAN as a repeater, perhaps in a location like my attic. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
If anyone has successfully made this transition or has tips on how to approach this, I’d be very grateful for your advice. Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Markus
