Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on migrating my ISY994 setup to eisy and have encountered a few questions along the way. I wanted to share my experiences and see if anyone else has faced similar challenges or has insights to share.
First, I followed the migration guide provided in the Wiki, but I’m a bit confused about a few steps. For instance, the guide mentions that Z-Wave nodes aren’t automatically migrated, and it seems that migration is only possible from a 994/500 Series board. This leaves me wondering—does this mean I can’t migrate Z-Wave devices if I’m using a Zooz Dongle? I’m hoping someone in the community might have attempted this or has a workaround.
Another point I’m unsure about is how to check if my eisy OS is at level 13.1 or higher. The guide doesn’t specify where to find this information in the Admin Console, so I’d appreciate any guidance on this. Additionally, I noticed that the Z-Wave backup option isn’t available in my Polisy’s Admin Console, but it is present in the eisy’s. I’m curious if this is a known issue or if there’s a different approach I should take.
I also have questions about the software mentioned in step 9 of the migration process. The guide refers to software that needs to be reconfigured to point to the IoP, but it doesn’t provide examples. I’m assuming this could include things like third-party apps or integrations, but I’m not entirely sure. If anyone has experience with this step, I’d love to hear about their process.
Lastly, I’m looking for clarification on the Node Server configuration. The guide suggests changing the host IP to localhost, but in my setup, the IP is already set to my eisy’s IP. I’m not sure if this is correct or if it needs to be changed. I’ve included some screenshots of my current configuration to help illustrate my setup.
If anyone has successfully migrated from ISY994 to eisy, especially with Z-Wave devices, I’d love to hear about your experiences. Any tips, tricks, or lessons learned would be invaluable as I continue with this project.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
Best regards,
