I’ve been diving into the world of ESPHome lately and thought it would be a great opportunity to migrate some of my Tasmota devices over. I’ve been using Tasmota for a while now, but I’ve heard ESPHome offers some really cool features that I’d love to take advantage of. However, the transition hasn’t been entirely smooth, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light on the best practices for this migration.
I’ve started with two devices: the King-Link C128 Outdoor Plug and the Prime Plug. Both have been reliable with Tasmota, but setting them up on ESPHome has been a bit of a puzzle. I’ve gone through the configuration templates, but I’m wondering if there are any gotchas or specific settings I should be aware of to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Have any of you made the switch and have tips or tricks to share?
One thing I’m particularly curious about is how ESPHome handles outdoor plugs compared to Tasmota. I’d love to hear about your experiences with similar devices and any challenges you might have encountered during the migration process. Any advice on ensuring compatibility and maintaining functionality would be invaluable!
