Migrating to OpenZWave Beta and Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I’m currently in the process of migrating to the new OpenZWave Beta in Home Assistant 0.110.0. While I’ve managed to set up the MQTT addon, configure the Open Z-Wave Daemon, and integrate it with my existing Z-Wave network key, I’m still facing some challenges. After removing the zwave key from my configuration and restarting, everything seems to be working on the surface, but I notice that my old Z-Wave integration is still appearing in the configuration menu. Additionally, all my devices are still owned by that integration, which is a bit concerning. I’m wondering if I need to change the network key for the new integration or if reusing the existing one is valid. I also have some configuration files like zwcfg_.xml and pyozw.sqlite in my directory—should I clear them out as part of the migration process? If anyone has successfully completed this migration and could share their experience or tips, I’d greatly appreciate it!

On a different note, I came across an issue with my UPS battery life alert. The battery is near the end of its life, and while I’ve replaced the RBC and ran the self-test and calibration, the alert persists in EcoStructure even though it’s cleared on the UPS and NMC. I tried a ‘braindead reset’ and rebooting the NMC, but it didn’t resolve the issue. I’d hate to lose the sensor history by removing and re-importing the device. Has anyone encountered this before and found a workaround? Any suggestions would be fantastic!

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the BLE proxy for monitoring devices in areas with spotty connectivity. I’ve heard about the Status Binary Sensor but encountered issues when trying to add it to my ESP32’s YAML. It fails during installation, and I’m not sure what I’m missing. Is there a specific configuration step I’m overlooking, or an alternative method to monitor the BLE proxy’s status effectively? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Thanks to everyone for your time and insights. Let’s keep the community strong! :muscle:
