Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with migrating from Vera3 to VeraPlus. It’s been a bit of a journey, but I’m thrilled with the results so far! I’ve been using Vera for years, and while it’s been reliable, I’m excited to explore the new features and improvements VeraPlus has to offer.
One of the challenges I faced during the migration was managing the IP addresses for all my Z-Wave devices. I was worried about having to manually reconfigure each device, but I discovered that VeraPlus handles this much more smoothly than I expected. It automatically adjusted the IP addresses for most of my devices, which saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Another highlight of my recent setup has been integrating my new Govee smart lights. I’ve been impressed with their performance and the ease of use with the VeraPlus ecosystem. The RGB color options and dimming features have really transformed my home lighting experience. I’ve even set up some automated routines that change the lighting based on the time of day or specific activities.
I’d love to hear from others who have made the switch to VeraPlus—what challenges did you face, and what features have you found most useful? Also, if anyone has tips for optimizing Z-Wave mesh networks or improving device reliability, I’d be grateful for the advice!
Cheers,
