I noticed that Aqara US switches now expose power consumption via Matter (which is great, especially for monitoring outlets 
).
However, it’s still not possible to create automations based on that value.
For example, it would be really useful to have conditions like:
If power consumption is above 100W for 10 minutes
If consumption drops below a certain threshold
Trigger actions based on sustained usage (not just instant state)
Right now, the data is visible, but it can’t be used in automations, which limits a lot of practical use cases (appliance monitoring, alerts, etc.).
Is this a current limitation of the platform, or is support for power-based automations planned in a future update?
