Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to share my experience with mixing older and newer smart home devices, specifically the Fensterkontakt (old version) and Fensterkontakt II.
I recently helped my parents set up a smart home system, and we decided to use the newer starter kits with the Fensterkontakt II. However, we also wanted to add a few more window contacts, and I was curious if mixing old and new devices would work seamlessly.
After some research and trial, I found that it’s possible to integrate both versions, but there are a few things to keep in mind. For instance, the newer devices might offer additional features or better compatibility with the latest software updates. On the other hand, the older ones are still reliable and can coexist without major issues.
