Hi everyone! I’m in the UK and have a gas central heating system with a combination boiler. I’ve been using a Tado thermostat for a while now, and it’s been working great. However, I want to add smart radiator thermostats (TRVs) to all my radiators to get more control over the heating.
I noticed that Tado TRVs are quite expensive compared to other options like TP-Link Kasa or Sonoff. For 12 radiators, this could save me around £370 if I go with Sonoff. But here’s the catch – I don’t think these non-Tado TRVs work with the Tado app.
I’ve heard that you might be able to integrate them using Home Assistant, but I’m not entirely sure how that would work. If any of you have experience mixing Tado with other brands, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have.
Would love to know if this is feasible and how smooth the integration process is. Thanks in advance for your insights!
