Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to seek some advice on monitoring my internet speed. I have a gigabit fibre optic plan, which usually gives me over 900mbit/s download speeds on a wired connection. However, it periodically drops to around 40mbit/s, requiring me to restart my modem. I’m wondering if there’s a simple way to monitor and log my speed, and ideally get notified if it drops below a certain threshold. This would be incredibly helpful for troubleshooting and ensuring consistent performance.
On another note, I’ve been having some issues with a Shelly Wave Motion device. It was originally connected to Home Assistant via a Z-Wave ZWA-2 controller, and there was a firmware update available from 11.3 to 11.10. Unfortunately, the update attempts kept failing, and the controller would jam during the process. I tried restarting everything, removing and re-adding the device, and even switching to a different Z-Wave stick, but the issue persists. I’m hoping someone might have some insights or troubleshooting steps before I consider replacing the device.
I’m also curious if anyone has experience with the Jasco Enbrighten Z-Wave switch for controlling a pool pump. I managed to get it working manually via the app, but I’m struggling to create an automation since the device doesn’t show any actions in the automation setup. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, I came across a phantom device in my scene settings. It seems like a previously removed RGBW bulb is still lingering in the settings, even though it’s no longer connected. The device number is still present, and the settings for color temperature are retained. I’m wondering if this is intentional or if it could cause issues down the line. Has anyone encountered something similar and found a solution?
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share!
