I’m not very familiar with this, but is it possible to monitor the Aqara camera not just with a small phone, but also through a computer web browser or app?
The doorbell feature on Apple TV that shows who’s at the door is nice, but is it also possible to monitor it on a computer?
Aqara app on android emulator? For example BlueStacks
Sorry, friend
Aqara currently has no plans to develop a PC application for security cameras, but I can recommend the following 2 methods to enable PC viewing of camera videos:
- Apple Mac: Like Iphones, Apple Mac comes pre installed with the Home application, which allows you to easily view camera videos on this computer if you happen to be using a Mac.
- RTSP: This usage is more professional. You need to copy the RTSP streaming address on the RTSP function page of the Aqara Home app to a third-party player (such as VLC player) . However, this method cannot use two-way voice communication between PC and camera, only one-way audio from the camera can be heard.
Hi @dunwoody,
When you say “computer,” I assume you mean a Windows PC, right? In that case, you’d probably need an Android emulator to install and run the app — just like @bracki19 already mentioned.
For Apple devices like MacBooks, luckily it’s much easier: you can install the iPad version of the app directly, and it works exactly like it does on an iPad. It even uses the same dashboards.
