Morning Light Automation Setup

I recently set up a morning light automation in my home, and I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is looking to do something similar. The goal was to create a gradual light increase in the bedroom to help with waking up more naturally.

Here’s what I did: I used a combination of smart bulbs and an automation app. The bulbs were set to start at 1% brightness with a warm color temperature and gradually increase to 100% over 17 minutes, reaching full brightness at 7:32 AM. The app allowed me to schedule this automation, and I was amazed at how smooth the transition was.

Initially, I had some trouble getting the automation to work consistently, but after tweaking the settings and ensuring all devices were on the same network, everything fell into place. It’s been a game-changer for my mornings—I feel much more refreshed and ready to start the day.
