I want to use the p1 to just turn on and off outdoor lights in the night. When I set up automation in Aqara home and select the P1 device I only find alternatives witch includes motion. That means you have do detect a motion to get lights turn on.
Hello @nils1 . All aqara motion sensors (except for the p2 sensor) update information about illumination only when moving, the p2 sensor can do this without movement.
For your task, it is better to use the T1 light sensor
