MQTT Diagnostics and Configuration Tips

I’ve been diving into MQTT configurations lately, and I thought I’d share some insights and questions I’ve encountered. First off, I had to delete my MQTT lock device and reconfigure everything from scratch. Now, while the lock is autodiscovered in HomeAssistant, all the diagnostics are showing as ‘unknown’. I’m using a SmartLock 3.0 Pro with firmware 3.5.12. Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? It’s a bit puzzling, but I’m hopeful there’s a straightforward fix out there.

Another thing I stumbled upon was an email from an iCloud address claiming to be from Arlo. The email was from ‘no_reply_at_e_arlo_com_z4fnaa74cvxv7e_1eqc4865@icloud.com’. I’m not sure if this is legit, so I thought I’d check with the community. Has anyone else received something similar, or know how to verify its authenticity? Security is always a concern, especially with smart devices.

On a lighter note, I just wanted to share a quick pic of the day. It’s a small victory, but seeing everything connected and working smoothly is always a good reminder of why I love tinkering with smart home tech. Here it is! :camera_flash:

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the HYXiPOWER battery and inverter integration. It’s a bit frustrating that there’s no direct integration for HomeAssistant yet. I noticed there’s a public REST API available, but I’m not entirely sure how to connect it. Would using MODBUS be the best approach here? I’m open to suggestions or anyone willing to collaborate on creating an integration. It would be fantastic to harness the full potential of this system within HomeAssistant.

Overall, it’s been a mix of challenges and triumphs. I’m grateful for the supportive community and can’t wait to see how these projects unfold. Happy tinkering everyone!
