MQTT Integration Success and Battery Sensor Issue

After spending several days trying to wrap my head around Docker, I finally got to the point where I felt confident enough to install it. My goal was to set up Frigate for my IP cameras, which I’ve heard great things about. However, I came across a note that mentioned the need for an MQTT broker if I wanted to integrate Frigate with Home Assistant. At first, I was a bit confused about what MQTT and an MQTT broker actually were, but after some research, things started to make sense.

I decided to go ahead and set up an MQTT broker, and it’s been a game-changer. The integration with Home Assistant has been seamless, and I’ve really enjoyed how everything communicates smoothly. It’s amazing how MQTT has allowed me to create a more connected home environment.

However, there’s been one hiccup that I’m hoping the community can help me with. I have three battery-powered temperature sensors connected to my hub. Everything was working perfectly until there was a recent power outage. After the power came back on, the hub rebooted, but all three sensors are now showing as offline. They’re not updating their temperatures, and I’m not sure how to get them back online. I’ve tried resetting them and checking the connections, but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Overall, I’m really happy with how MQTT has enhanced my setup, and I’m excited to continue exploring its capabilities. Fingers crossed I can get those sensors back up and running soon!
