Hi all I am going to use a 3D printed bracket for the Multi State Sensor P100 What would you recommend to hold it securely to the steel door so that it won’t move

A two sided mounting tape should be sufficient (like the 3M, T-Rex or Scotch). The P100 is pretty light (and a 3D printed bracket is also light), so it should hold, and it will be easy to remove if you need to change its position or just remove it from the door.
The P100 has included glue pads (and a rubber case with its own glue pads). Personally I would just use those instead of bothering with the 3D print.

Hi OK so it comes with some kind of rubber case that it can go said that I don’t have to worry about tearing tape when try to remove the battery cover and I am assuming correctly that magnets would not be a good way to go
It has glue right on the P100 and glue on the rubber cover (this cover is meant to be used outside, but you can use it inside).
Magnets may affect the gyroscope that’s inside the P100.
Actually, if your door is made from a magnetic metal, then it may also affect the gyro. The 3D printed case may be a good idea (to make a fine barrier between the door and the P100)
