I’ve been diving into the world of home automation lately, and one area I’ve been focusing on is my multimedia setup. I’ve got a mix of devices—Google Home, Samsung Soundbar, and some wireless speakers—all integrated into Home Assistant. The goal is to create a seamless and user-friendly interface for my family, especially for my wife who isn’t as tech-savvy.
Here’s what I’m aiming for: an easy way to select different audio sources, whether it’s a direct radio stream or something from Spotify or TuneIn. Then, being able to control the volume and playback on any of the speakers. It would be amazing to dynamically group speakers depending on the situation, like having all the downstairs speakers play together during a party.
I’ve read a lot about individual components, but tying everything together into one cohesive system has been a bit overwhelming. I’m curious if anyone has a streamlined approach or specific configurations they’ve found success with. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
