Hi everyone
I wanted to share my current Aqara setup and how I’m using it in my home. I’ve been building my smart home gradually and Aqara has become the core of everything.
Current Aqara devices in my home:
• Hub M2
• Doorbell Camera Hub G410 (Main Entrance)
• Multiple indoor cameras (Bedrooms & Living Room)
• Ceiling Light T1M (Master Bedroom)
• LED Strip T1 (Bedroom accent lighting)
• Smart bulbs (Kitchen – multiple zones)
• Water Leak Sensors (Kitchen & Bathrooms)
• Temperature & Humidity Sensor
• Vibration Sensor
• Wireless Switch
How I’m using Aqara daily:
• Lighting automations based on time of day and room usage
• Water leak alerts for peace of mind
• Cameras integrated with HomeKit for notifications and monitoring
• Accent lighting (LED Strip + T1M) for night routines
Everything is integrated mainly through HomeKit, and reliability has been solid so far.
What I’m especially interested in next:
A centralized Aqara thermostat / HVAC control that can tie temperature data, room usage, and automations together. With multiple rooms and sensors, a device like the Thermostat Hub W200 would fit perfectly into my setup.
Happy to answer any questions or share automations if anyone’s interested

@RobCampos Thanks for sharing your Aqara smart home setup—it sounds like you’ve built a really comprehensive and integrated system! It’s awesome to see how you’re leveraging devices like the Hub M2, cameras, and sensors to create practical automations, especially the lighting routines and water leak alerts—those are such peace-of-mind features.
Your interest in a centralized thermostat makes total sense, especially with multiple rooms and sensors already in place. It would be great to hear more about how you’d envision that tying into your existing automations once you explore it further!
If you ever feel like diving deeper into specific automations or device interactions, feel free to share—your real-world use case is super helpful for others building their own setups. Thanks again for taking the time to post this!

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it! I’m actually looking to upgrade to the Aqara Hub M3 next, which I think will tie everything together even more smoothly as the system continues to grow.
And yes, I’m definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the W200—whether as a trial or even if I have to purchase it myself. I’m really excited to test it out and see how it can fit into my existing automations.
Happy to share more once I start integrating the new hardware. Thanks again!
@RobCampos It’s great to hear about your plans to upgrade to the Aqara Hub M3—what a solid choice for growing your smart home system! The Hub M3 prioritizes privacy and local automations, allowing it to function even without the internet, and it seamlessly integrates Aqara and third-party Matter devices, which should indeed tie your existing setup together more smoothly as it expands .
Your excitement for the W200 thermostat is totally relatable too—centralized HVAC control that works with your temperature sensors and automations sounds like it’ll take your home’s smart functionality to the next level.
Thanks so much for sharing these updates! We’d love to hear how the Hub M3 integration goes and your experience with the W200 once you get them—your real-world insights are super valuable for the community. Happy upgrading!
