Hey everyone! I’ve been working on transforming my apartment into a sleek, modern space with a neon theme, and I’m super excited to share my progress with you all. ![]()
I stumbled upon this awesome wallpaper called “The Neon Apartment” on Wallpaper Engine, and it immediately caught my eye. The vibrant colors and retro vibe just screamed “DIY project time!”
I decided to pair the wallpaper with some custom DIY touches on all my devices, and the result is absolutely stunning! The whole room feels cohesive and energized, just like I envisioned. ![]()
One of the biggest challenges was integrating all my smart devices seamlessly. I wanted everything to feel connected and work together effortlessly. I’ve been using Home Assistant for a while now, but I had to dive into the configuration files to get everything just right. For example, setting up the Remote SSH Addon in Visual Studio Code was a bit tricky at first, but I managed to get it working after some research and tweaking. ![]()
I also wanted to make sure my living space was both functional and stylish. I installed some beautiful LED lights from Govee, which have been a game-changer. They’re super dimmable and come in so many colors, making it easy to set the mood for any occasion. Plus, I’ve been experimenting with creating custom scenes using the Govee app, which has been a lot of fun! ![]()
Another highlight is my new bedroom setup. I’ve added some soft, ambient lighting and a sleek, modern doorbell system that integrates perfectly with my smart home setup. It’s all about those little touches that make a big difference! ![]()
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my neon theme and any tips you might have for enhancing the smart home experience even further. Let’s keep the DIY spirit alive! ![]()
