My Experience with the Kwikset Smartcode Deadbolt 10

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Kwikset Smartcode Deadbolt 10. I’ve been looking to upgrade my home security and this seemed like a great option. I decided to pair it with ZHA (Zigbee Home Automation) to integrate it into my existing smart home setup. However, the installation process wasn’t as smooth as I hoped it would be.

I started by following the instructions provided, but when I got to the “Add New Device” step, the system picked up the deadbolt and showed “Interview Complete - Configuring.” Everything seemed to be going well at first, but after a few minutes, the search stopped and displayed “search again.” The blue box with additional information remained, and I couldn’t see any entities for the device. I tried reconfiguring it, but the issue persisted.

I decided to take a closer look and realized the device was installed but not fully integrated into my system. I checked the logs and found an error message, which I’ve included below. I’m not entirely sure what’s causing this issue, but I suspect it might be related to compatibility or a bug in the firmware. I’ve reached out to Kwikset support, but I’m hoping someone here might have some insights or solutions.

If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has advice on how to resolve this, I’d greatly appreciate your help. I’m really excited about the potential of this deadbolt, and I’m determined to get it working properly!
