Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with using the Wyze Cam for detecting sounds from my smoke and CO monitors. I’ve been really impressed with how responsive it is for general household noises, but I was curious about its ability to pick up specific alarm sounds.
I set it up in the app, enabling sound detection specifically for alarms. At first, I was a bit concerned because when I tested it with a nearby alarm, I didn’t get any notifications on my phone. I thought maybe there was an issue with the settings or the device itself.
After doing a bit of research and reaching out to the community, I realized that adjusting the sensitivity settings made a big difference. Now, it reliably detects the alarm sounds and sends me alerts, which gives me peace of mind.
