So, the setup I’m talking about is an integration between my smart vacuum cleaner and my home security system. The idea is simple yet effective: when my smart vacuum detects that it’s low on battery, it automatically navigates to the charging dock, and if it’s not there, it sends me a notification. But wait, there’s more! If the vacuum detects any unusual activity in the house while it’s cleaning, it triggers my security cameras to start recording and sends me a notification on my phone. This has been a game-changer for me, especially when I’m away from home.
I’ve been using a Tesvor robot vacuum, and it’s been working wonders. The integration with my security cameras was a bit tricky at first, but with some research and trial and error, I managed to get everything working smoothly. I used the MQTT protocol for communication between the devices, and it’s been reliable so far.
One challenge I faced was ensuring that the vacuum’s sensors were accurate enough to detect unusual activity without causing false alarms. I played around with the sensitivity settings and found the perfect balance. Now, I can leave my house worry-free, knowing that my vacuum is not only cleaning but also keeping an eye on things!
