I have to say, my favorite smart home device by far is the Roomba. Why? Because it handles the one chore that no one in my household really enjoys—vacuuming. And not only does it do the job automatically, but it does it better than most upright vacuums I’ve used.
I use an iRobot 890 paired with the IFTTT integration. The Roomba’s official app only allows for one cleaning session per day, but by using a virtual switch along with IFTTT and RM, I’ve managed to set it up to vacuum twice a day when we’re home and once a day when we’re away for more than two days.
It’s been a game-changer for our routine. The Roomba takes care of the floors while we focus on other things, and it does so consistently without any issues. It’s reliable, efficient, and has definitely made our home cleaner and our lives a bit easier.
