Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with my first Z-Wave setup. I recently purchased a VeraLite, two Fibaro dimmer modules, and a TBK mains socket on/off with metering. As a complete newbie to Z-Wave and home automation, I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the installation process was. I followed the instructions carefully and managed to get everything up and running without too much hassle. The only minor hiccup I encountered was getting the dimmer module to pair correctly, but unpairing and then repairing it did the trick. I also learned that the dimmer module requires a minimum load of 25W, which meant I had to switch back to Halogen bulbs temporarily until I could get a dimmer bypass module.
I’ve been using the AutomationHD Android app to control everything, and it’s been a real pleasure to use. The app is very responsive, even when I’m on mobile data, and it’s made managing my smart home setup much easier. I’m really looking forward to expanding my network in the future and adding more devices to make my home even smarter.
On a different note, I’ve been keeping an eye out for new smart home gadgets and products. There’s so much innovation happening in this space, and I’m excited to see what’s coming up next.
