One thing I ran into recently was some trouble logging into the Home Assistant Android app. Initially, I thought maybe I had entered the wrong credentials, but after double-checking and even changing my password, the issue persisted. I started questioning whether I should log in as the Hass.io user or my regular username, Steve. It was a bit confusing, especially since I don’t have SSL set up yet—it’s just the basic installation at this point.
Fortunately, I found some helpful tips in the community forums. Someone suggested checking if the app was using the correct URL and port. I realized I had missed specifying the port number in the app settings. Once I added that, everything worked like a charm! It’s amazing how a small oversight can cause such frustration, but the community support really made a difference.
I’m now fully enjoying the app’s interface and all the functionalities it offers. It’s so satisfying to see everything come together after overcoming that little hurdle.
