Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Homematic IP system, as it’s been quite a journey for me. I started with the HM-LC-DIM1T-CV dimmer and two HM-PB-6-WM55 wall mounted switches. Initially, everything worked smoothly, but I noticed an unusual behavior where the lights would turn back on after being switched off or dimmed to zero. This was perplexing, and I couldn’t figure out the cause. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that resetting the wall mounted switches by removing and reinserting the batteries resolved the issue temporarily. However, the problem recurred, which was frustrating. I decided to explore further and found that updating the firmware on the CCU helped stabilize the system. Now, after ensuring all devices are on the latest firmware, the issue has diminished significantly. This experience taught me the importance of firmware updates and the value of community support. If anyone else is facing similar issues, I highly recommend checking for firmware updates and ensuring all devices are properly integrated. Happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
