As someone who’s been diving into the world of smart home automation, I wanted to share my experiences and insights with the community. My journey started with a simple goal: to enhance my home’s lighting system without making permanent changes or investing too much. After some research, I discovered that under-cabinet lighting could be the perfect solution for my kitchen setup. However, I faced a challenge with the limited space under my cabinets, which are only 20.5" and 23.5" wide. I wondered if light bars would be a feasible option or if I should opt for a single strip under the main section. The forums have been incredibly helpful, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed with so much information! I’d love to hear others’ experiences with similar setups.
Moving on to my integration journey with Hubitat, I’ve been experimenting with various devices, including the Broadlink 3 Mini. It’s amazing how these devices can be configured to work seamlessly together, but I’m curious about the possibilities of having multiple Broadlink devices and how their configurations might interact. I’d appreciate any tips or experiences from those who’ve successfully integrated multiple Broadlink devices into their setups.
Another area I’ve been exploring is the use of Lua scripts for creating scenes. I came across a script for a motion detector that worked perfectly but only ran once. I’m eager to learn how to make it run continuously without restarting the hub. If anyone has tackled a similar issue, I’d be grateful for any guidance or resources.
Lastly, I’m excited about the potential of using Govee products, especially their outdoor flood lights, which I’ve recently acquired. I can’t wait to see how they integrate into my existing setup and brighten up my space!
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this community. It’s truly inspiring to see the creativity and expertise shared here. I look forward to learning more and contributing my own experiences as I continue my smart home journey.
