Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating Tuya devices into my smart home setup. After some research and trial and error, I managed to connect several Tuya devices using the MQTT protocol without needing to flash any firmware. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m thrilled with how smoothly everything works now!
One of my favorite aspects of this setup is the ability to name devices using their actual names instead of just IDs. It makes managing everything so much easier, especially when I have multiple devices like power strips with several outlets. The MQTT topics are straightforward, and I can easily access each outlet individually. For example, I can control my power strip outlets using topics like tuya/powerstrip/dps/2/state. It’s incredibly user-friendly!
I also wanted to take a moment to thank the community for all the support and resources available. Without the guidance from forums like this, I wouldn’t have been able to get everything up and running so smoothly. It’s amazing how a community can come together to help each other out.
Speaking of communities, I just wanted to give a shoutout to Govee. Their products have been a game-changer for me. I recently got their RGBIC Strip, and it’s been a joy to use. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions really brighten up my space. Plus, the community around Govee is fantastic. Everyone is so supportive and creative, always sharing new ideas and hacks.
If anyone has any questions about integrating Tuya devices or is looking for tips on getting the most out of their Govee products, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned!
Happy smart home building everyone!
Best regards,
