I’ve been using Wyze switches for quite some time now, and they’ve been a reliable addition to my smart home setup. However, recently I encountered an unexpected issue where all my Wyze switches became completely unresponsive. No blinking lights, no taps, nothing. I tried rebooting my router, checking the breakers, and even resetting the devices, but nothing changed. Meanwhile, my TP-Link Kasa switches and regular switches continued to work fine. It was perplexing to say the least. I reached out to the community and found that others had experienced similar issues, though solutions were not immediately clear. This experience taught me the importance of having a backup plan and diversifying my smart home ecosystem. I ended up integrating some Shelly devices alongside my Wyze setup, which not only provided redundancy but also added new functionalities. The Shelly Plus Plug S, for instance, has been a game-changer for managing my outdoor lighting. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it’s also been a great learning experience. I’m now more confident in my ability to troubleshoot and adapt as new challenges arise in the world of smart home automation.
