My Latest Smart Home Project and Some Tips

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with you. I recently set up a Wyze Video Doorbell V2, and while it’s been a great addition to my home security, I’ve encountered some connectivity issues. The device seems to go offline every morning around 4-8 AM, which is pretty frustrating. I’ve tried resetting my modem/router and adjusting the Wi-Fi settings, but the problem persists. If anyone has any insights or solutions, I’d really appreciate it!

On a more positive note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Govee products. Their app integration is seamless, and the ability to control everything from one place is a game-changer. I recently added some under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen, and the tunable white feature has been a lifesaver. It’s amazing how much of a difference lighting can make in a space.

I also wanted to mention the littleBits kits I came across at the Barnes & Noble Mini Maker Faire. They’re such a fun way to get kids interested in engineering and electronics without needing any advanced tools or knowledge. If you’re looking for a hands-on STEM activity, I highly recommend checking them out!

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with some smart lighting scenes in my bathroom using Phoscon. While most of them work perfectly, I’ve noticed an issue where one specific scene doesn’t activate the lights properly. It’s a minor hiccup, but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar or knows a workaround.

Overall, I’m loving the journey of building my smart home, and I’m excited to see what new projects I can tackle next. Happy tinkering everyone! :rocket:
