My matter sesnsors keep becoming unresponsive or die

Hi,

I have several matrer over thread devices:
U200, 4x door p2 sensors, 3x motion sensors
I am using home assistant core (docker version) to host everyone locally.
From researching until 3am yesterday i understood that one of the reasons this can happen is because of the devices being connected directly to HA, and not as child devices of the m3 hub, and then there are multiple devices fighting for control draining rhe batteries or something.
I tried adding the devices as child devices under the m3 hub but it doesnt work. They show up in aqara app, but not under the m3, and then, when i share the m3 hub in HA the devices wont show up automatically. If i get the matter code and say this device is controlled by another controller it simply errors out.

Please help.

Hi @sergiuW , did you tried that already?

First delete the P2 door sensor from all Matter hubs!
Then try to bind it first to M3 hub - then creating a new Matter code in the M3 settings and bind the P2 with the new generated Matter code to HA ?

But maybe @rchiileea has an idea

Yes. It simply shows up in my aqara app, but not under child devices.

Ok got ya, but in the accessories list it’s available?
I think in the child device list of Aqara Matter hubs only Zigbee device are shown

you need to go to the device page (sensors you want to show in ha) in the aqara app and click matter (the sensors) and then get code that way then use that code to add to home assistant. its the same on all platforms once paired to one that one has to provide the code to share it to others.
