Hey everyone! I wanted to share a little about my smart home setup and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. ![]()
I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and they’ve been a great addition to my security setup. I love how they’re affordable and still offer good quality. Speaking of security, I recently upgraded some of my lights to Hue bulbs, and they’ve been fantastic for creating different moods around the house. Plus, integrating them with my existing smart home system has been a breeze!
One thing I’ve been experimenting with is using MQTT for device tracking. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but setting up location sensors has really helped with automations. I’d love to hear if anyone else has tips or tricks for optimizing MQTT setups!
I also wanted to mention the importance of firmware updates. I had an issue with my ESP32 device where the display wasn’t working, and after a firmware update, it was fixed in no time. It’s a good reminder to keep everything up to date!
Lastly, I’ve been really impressed with the Govee T1 bulbs. They’re so versatile and have added a nice touch to my home decor. If anyone is looking for a budget-friendly option, I’d highly recommend giving them a try! ![]()
What’s everyone else been working on lately? I’d love to hear your tips and experiences too! ![]()
