Hi all, I wanted to share my recent experience upgrading my home lighting setup with the iolloi Zigbee dimmers. As someone who’s been experimenting with smart home tech for a while, I’ve tried a variety of switches and dimmers, but this one has really stood out.
I’ve been using Lightwave RF dimmers for a while, but I found myself frustrated with their reliance on an internet connection and their slow response times. When I stumbled upon the iolloi dimmers on Amazon, I decided to give them a try, and I’m so glad I did!
The installation was a breeze—no neutral wire required, and the setup with Home Assistant was seamless. The dimmers are Zigbee 3.0 compliant, so they paired right away without any issues. The physical design is simple but effective, with a smooth knob that allows for precise control of the lighting.
One feature I particularly love is the support for transition times. Whether I’m using the physical knob or controlling it through Home Assistant, the lights fade smoothly to the desired brightness. This has made a huge difference in the ambiance of my home, especially in the evenings.
I also appreciate that these dimmers don’t require any additional hubs or internet connectivity to function. They’re purely local, which makes them more reliable in my experience. Plus, at around £32 each, they’re a fraction of the cost of some other smart dimmers I’ve looked at.
Of course, there are a few minor drawbacks. The only finish available is white plastic, and I’d love to see multi-gang versions in the future. But for the price and the performance, I think these dimmers are a fantastic choice.
If you’re looking to upgrade your lighting controls without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving the iolloi Zigbee dimmers a try. They’ve made a real difference in my smart home setup, and I can’t wait to see what other innovations they come up with next!
Cheers,
