I’ve been on a journey to create the perfect smart lighting setup in my home, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! 
After researching various options, I decided to go with Govee lights for their sleek design and vibrant colors. They’ve been a game-changer in creating ambiance in my living room. However, I wanted to integrate them with my existing Fibaro dimmers to maintain a uniform look and feel across my home.
The challenge was figuring out how to control the Govee lights using the Fibaro dimmers. After some trial and error, I discovered that setting up group associations in my Z-Wave network allowed me to control multiple lights with a single dimmer. This setup not only streamlined my controls but also ensured that all devices worked seamlessly together.
One of the highlights was customizing the icons in my Lovelace dashboard to match the Govee theme, which gave my interface a cohesive and polished look. While I encountered a few bumps along the way—like ensuring the correct icon colors matched the theme—I found that removing the custom icon temporarily helped restore the color functionality.
This integration has completely transformed my lighting experience. Whether it’s creating a cozy evening atmosphere or brightening up my mornings, my setup now feels truly personalized and efficient.
