I wanted to share my recent experience integrating smart lighting into my home. It’s been a journey of learning and discovery, and I’m excited to talk about it!
I started with a mix of Govee and Philips Hue bulbs, aiming to create a seamless lighting system. Initially, I faced some challenges with device compatibility and automation setup. For instance, getting my Philips motion sensors to work smoothly with the Hue system required some tweaking in the app.
One of the highlights was setting up a ‘Goodnight’ routine. I programmed my lights to dim gradually and turn off completely after 30 minutes. It’s such a small thing, but it’s made a big difference in my daily life. I also integrated my garage door opener into the system, which now syncs perfectly with my Philips sensors.
