Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating Tuya devices into Home Assistant. I’ve been curious about expanding my smart home setup, and Tuya seemed like a great option due to its wide range of affordable devices. However, I ran into a bit of a roadblock initially. The process wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped, especially when it came to linking the devices using the Tuya Smart app. I didn’t see the option to scan a QR code, which was mentioned in the manual I was following. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that using a different app or a workaround was necessary. I ended up using the Tuya IoT Developer Platform, which allowed me to generate the required credentials and integrate the devices manually. The journey was a bit challenging, but the end result was worth it! My devices are now seamlessly connected, and I’m excited to explore all the possibilities this opens up.
