Each bulb can display over 6 million colours, making it easy to create vibrant displays or set a cosy ambiance for evening gatherings. I’ve been experimenting with different colour schemes using the Nanoleaf app, and it’s been a lot of fun! For those looking to integrate these lights into a smart home ecosystem, the Matter protocol support is a huge plus. I was able to connect them seamlessly to my existing setup without needing additional hubs or complicated configurations. The fact that they use 2.4GHz WiFi also means I don’t have to worry about setting up a Thread Border Router, which is a big relief. A little pro tip: if you’re planning to use these lights for events or parties, consider creating custom scenes in the app. I’ve set up a few preset colour combinations that match the theme of our upcoming BBQs, and it’s been a great way to set the mood without fiddling with controls on the fly. One thing to note is that while these lights are incredibly versatile, they don’t support Apple’s Adaptive Lighting. However, since they’re meant for outdoor use, I don’t find this to be a major drawback. Overall, I’m absolutely thrilled with how these lights have elevated my outdoor space.
