New Jeelink Openhab2 Binding for Temperature Sensors and Power Monitors

Hi everyone, I wanted to share an exciting development I’ve been working on! I’ve created a new OpenHAB 2 binding for JeeLink USB receivers, which allows integration with LaCrosse temperature sensors and EC3000 power monitors. This has been a fun project, and I’m eager to get feedback from the community before finalizing it.

The binding offers several features, including manual bridge configuration, automatic sensor discovery, and adjustable update intervals. One of the standout features is the ability to change sensor IDs directly from the OpenHAB interface, which is especially handy after battery replacements. I’ve been running this setup with three sensors on my Linux machine without any issues, but I’d love to hear how it performs on other systems, especially Windows.

I’m particularly interested in feedback on the sensor discovery process and the update interval settings. If anyone is willing to test this out, I can provide the necessary files for installation. Your input would be invaluable in ensuring this binding works smoothly for everyone.

This project has been a great way to dive deeper into OpenHAB development, and I’m looking forward to contributing more to the community. Let me know if you’d like to get involved or have any suggestions!

Best regards,
Volker
