New Smart Lock Installation Issues

Hello everyone, I’m thrilled to finally dive into the world of smart home automation! I recently purchased a new smart lock for my front door and decided to install it myself. The installation process went smoothly, but I’m now facing some unexpected challenges with getting it connected to my home network.

After following the manufacturer’s instructions, I paired the lock with my smartphone and attempted to connect it to my Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, the lock keeps showing a ‘Connection Failed’ error. I’ve tried resetting the device, ensuring my Wi-Fi password is correct, and even moving the lock closer to my router to eliminate any signal issues. Nothing seems to work.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their smart locks. Could there be a problem with the Wi-Fi frequency my router is using? I’ve heard some devices have trouble with 5GHz networks. Would switching to 2.4GHz help? Also, I’m curious if there are any firmware updates available for the lock that might resolve this issue.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m really looking forward to enjoying the convenience of keyless entry, but this hiccup has me a bit frustrated. Let’s see if we can crack this together! :blush:
