How has your experience with integrations with HomeKit, Google Home, SmartThings and Alexa?
I’m excited to start trying more Aqara devices and want to know if there’s any gotchas I should know about.

From what we know, Aqara devices can integrate with HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings through Matter, which helps streamline cross-platform control . For example, once your Aqara Hub (like the M200) is connected via Matter, child devices (sensors, switches, etc.) should sync to these ecosystems .
As for “gotchas,” a common one is ensuring smooth HomeKit setup: make sure your Aqara device and HomeKit hub (iPhone, HomePod, etc.) are on the same Wi-Fi, the router has AP isolation and mDNS enabled, and the device is in pairing mode . Also, for HomeKit sensor integration, the Aqara Gateway must first connect to the Apple Home app—child devices don’t have separate HomeKit codes and sync through the gateway .
