Hey folks, just wanted to drop a quick note about my first experience setting up a smart home with Aqara. I’m a total newbie—never touched anything “smart” except my phone. But wow, this was way easier than I expected.

I started small: got the Aqara Hub M2, a motion sensor, and a smart plug. Honestly thought it would take hours of Googling and frustration. Instead, I had everything paired with the app in under 30 minutes. The app literally holds your hand through the process.

Now, my motion sensor automatically turns on a lamp when I enter the room after sunset. Feels kinda sci-fi, not gonna lie. And I added a schedule to the plug so my coffee machine turns on at 7 AM. Game-changer.
