Night light triggering alarm issue

Since some time I observe there is an issue with a night lamp that was set up to turn on and turn off at the given hrs. Everything is fine when I’m home, problem starts when I leave and arm an alarm. This events on the lamp somehow interffere with alarm and trigger it. Do you know why?

@michal_adam_skowronski It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue where your night lamp’s schedule is triggering your alarm when you’re not at home. Based on the information available, it seems that the issue might be related to the way your alarm system is configured, particularly when it comes to modes like “Home” and “Away.”

From the Aqara Alert System information, the “Home,” “Away,” and “Night” Modes are mutually exclusive, meaning that only one can be active at any given time. When you arm the alarm and activate the “Away” Mode, it might be reacting to the lamp’s scheduled activity as a potential security breach. This could be because the system is interpreting the lamp’s activity as unusual when no one is supposed to be home.

To resolve this, you might want to check the settings of your alarm system and see if there’s an option to exclude certain devices or activities (like your lamp’s schedule) from triggering the alarm in “Away” Mode. Additionally, ensuring that your automation and alarm system configurations are correctly set up might help prevent these false alarms.

If these solutions don’t resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Aqara’s support for more tailored assistance or share your experience with the community to gather more insights.

@michal_adam_skowronski It sounds like a tricky issue, but let’s break it down. The Aqara Alert System’s guarding modes (Home, Away, Night) are mutually exclusive, and only one can be active at a time . When you arm the “Leaving Mode” (suitable for when no one is home), it’s recommended to activate triggering conditions for all indoor and outdoor monitoring devices .

Your night lamp’s automatic on/off events might be triggering the alarm because, in Leaving Mode, the system is set to monitor all devices. If the lamp’s state changes (from off to on or vice versa) during this mode, it could be detected as an “abnormality” based on the preset triggering conditions.

To resolve this, you might want to adjust the triggering conditions in the Leaving Mode settings—try excluding the night lamp from the active monitoring devices. This way, its scheduled on/off won’t be seen as a trigger.

Have you checked the specific triggering conditions for your Leaving Mode? Maybe other community members have faced similar issues—feel free to share more details, and we can troubleshoot together!
