Good morning from NC! I own multiple Aqara accessories. 3 G5 Cameras, 4 G100 cameras, 2 G410 door bells, 3 U400 locks, 1 U300 lock, and 5 T2 light bulbs. All attached via Home Kit using 2 HomePod mini’s. Everything is less than 4 months old.
Additionally attached to Homekit, I have an Ecobee thermostat and 2 Tailwind garage door integrations.
Quite frequently I am forced to reset a HomePod to get my Aqara accessories to start working again within HomeKit. But not all of them go “unresponsive.” And NONE of the other 3rd party accessories go “unresponsive”
I have done everything Google and GPT have suggested to help this. Bought a second HomePod to have one at each end of the house, moved my wifi out of a cabinet to a centralized open space, deleted and reinstalled all accessories…and most of the Aqara devices still go “unresponsive” within HomeKit, but not the Aqara app.
My house is 2200sqft, I have fiber internet with a very strong wifi signal, my house was built just 4 months ago. I am using multiple Aqara hubs and have no automations set within Aqara, only in HomeKit.
HELP! I am at the end of my rope and feel like it’s something I have done incorrectly!

If you have an Apple TV 4K (128Gb) with the network connection plug it in and use the hardwired option. In the Apple Home app go to settings-Home Settings-Home Hubs and Bridges. Select the hardwired Apple TV and turn off Automatic Selection.
You may find all your connection issues suddenly go away.
The more devices you add the more important it becomes to have hardwired Hubs

If that would be the case to hard wire an Apple TV then what it is the point on having HomePods as matter bridge?makes no sense I reported a few days ago to Apple by phone that my Apple TV and HomePods get internet connection lost or fails even if they are still connected to internet and working well.my be there are some issues on HomeKit witch makes Aqara devices be unresponsive or without connection.

I wonder what router do you use ?from your internet provider?

I currently use the Eero Pro 6E (3 pack) not ISP supplied with a Fiber connection
Before hardwiring one of my Apple TV’s I had constant “unresponsive” devices. Plugged in the Apple TV and they all went way. I never get those errors anymore.

Yeah that router you use is great and have strong internet connection but @cwilliams_payroc have internet connection problems because his house is big and all those devices from Aqara I think he connected them to the 5hz band witch doesn’t work on high distance as the 2.4 band does but if he use the router from his internet provider then there is the problem as those routers doesn’t handle well many devices connected to it more he needs to set off the automatic band selection and set each band as stand alone and also he needs an mesh network first because of his big house.on aqara app the devices do not get off because they use zigbee not WiFi as the HomeKit

yes, like many have posted here, hardwire a newer generation AppleTV 4k and select it manually as the primary home hub. that HomePod mini is just part of the mesh and being selected automatically by Apple Home which as we know isn’t the best choice unfortunately. And unfortunately Apple hasn’t put more work into their Apple Home ecosystem.

Yeah but still will not fix @cwilliams_payroc problem you both refer to thread communication witch only work with apple devices on iOS but even if you wire the Apple TV still doesn’t fix his issue if his router is poor as using Apple TV your automations will work without internet but you can’t control those devices from your iPhone via thread like you do with WiFi connection

yes, need decent mesh router and have ipv6 enabled for thread to communicate as well, agreed.

Yeah not sure on US if the internet providers offer ipv6 because here on Spain Vodafone do not have that option even if they offer WiFi 6 but hey my be his provider does even with thread working he will still need an good router to make that mesh so he can have an stable WiFi around his home
US providers do provide ipv6, many. I’m on Verizon fios myself who does
