Hello everyone, I’ve been working on resolving an issue with my nRF9160-based devices where they aren’t registering to the network despite having good signal strength. The modem can see the network, but +CEREG reports a status of 2, meaning it’s searching but not registered. I’ve tested this across several devices and locations, and while the signal is strong, the registration doesn’t seem to happen.
I’ve tried various troubleshooting steps, including testing with different SIM cards, firmware versions, and even leaving the device running overnight. The logs show a pattern where +CEREG sometimes includes the TAC, CI, and AcT, but this doesn’t lead to successful registration.
One interesting observation is the RESET LOOP event every 3 hours, which seems to coincide with my application rebooting. I’m not sure if this is related, but it’s something I’m keeping an eye on.
I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions on what might be causing this behavior. Have others encountered similar issues? What additional diagnostic steps can I take to pinpoint the problem?
