Optimizing Aqara Presence and Motion Sensors for Reliable Lighting

I’ve been really enjoying my Aqara presence sensor in my kitchen. It’s amazing how it keeps the lights on even when I’m not moving around, something my motion sensor alone couldn’t do. However, I noticed that the presence sensor is a bit slower to detect me compared to the motion sensor. So, I decided to combine both sensors to create a more reliable system.

Here’s how it works: if either the presence sensor detects me or the motion sensor picks up movement, the lights stay on. But the lights only turn off after there’s been no motion or presence detected for a full minute. This setup has been working like a charm!

I’d love to hear if others have similar experiences or any tips to improve this further. It’s fascinating how combining different sensors can lead to such reliable results. Let’s keep sharing our smart home hacks! :rocket:
