Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of ESP32 cameras lately and wanted to share an interesting discovery I made. If you’re experiencing slow frame rates with your ESP32 setup, you might be surprised to learn that adjusting the clock rate can make a significant difference. I stumbled upon this solution after struggling with low FPS on my OV3660 camera module. Initially, I thought it was just a hardware limitation, but tweaking the clock rate from the default 24MHz to a lower 8MHz boosted my FPS from 0.4 to a much more usable 3-4 FPS. It’s fascinating how such a simple change can have such a big impact. I’d love to hear if others have had similar experiences or if there’s a deeper technical explanation behind this phenomenon. Happy tinkering! ![]()
