Hello fellow Homey enthusiasts!
I’ve been using Fibaro motion sensors in my smart home setup, and while they’re reliable, I’ve noticed that their battery life could be improved. Let me share some tips and tricks I’ve discovered to help extend the battery life of these sensors!
First, I realized that adjusting the sensitivity settings made a big difference. By reducing the sensitivity, the sensor doesn’t trigger unnecessarily, which helps conserve battery life. I also found that enabling the built-in energy-saving mode during periods of low activity significantly prolonged battery life.
Another tip is to ensure that the sensors are only used for their primary function—detecting motion. Avoid using them for secondary purposes like temperature monitoring unless absolutely necessary, as this can drain the battery faster.
I’d love to hear from others who have successfully optimized their Fibaro motion sensors’ battery life. What techniques or settings have worked best for you? Let’s share our experiences and tips to help each other make the most out of these devices! ![]()
